Prayer for the Beatification of Venerable Patrick Peyton, CSC.
Dear Jesus, Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth. We beg you, therefore, to hasten the day of his beatification, so that your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that the family that prays together stays together, will imitate him in his devotion to your Mother and ours, and will be inspired by his holy life to draw ever closer to you with childlike confidence and love.
Amen.

Prayer for the Elderly and for Those Who Care for Them
Pope Francis said that “the elderly are the historical memory of every community, a patrimony of wisdom and faith that needs to be heard, cared for, and valued.” Let us pray for the elders of our congregation and our families, that they may never lose sight of their dignity inherent in the grace and mission of their advanced years.
Through the intercession of St. Brother Andre Bessette, the patron saint of family caregivers in Canada, we also pray in gratitude for those who care for the elderly, in homes and in institutions, and for their continued compassionate service.

Talitha Cum – Rise up
Rise up my self,
when I face discouragements, ungratefulness, and crisis;
that God may give me opportunity to hope, to love, to trust.
Rise up my family,
when we face crisis, death, or sickness;
that God may be present with strength, healing and new hope.
Rise up my Church,
when we lack support, direction, or commitment;
that we may trust in the words of Jesus, “I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Rise up my country,
when peace is disturbed, poor are forgotten, and leaders are corrupt and self-centered;
that we may pray to the Lord of all nations, all peoples’, and creation.
That we may become one family, brothers and sisters in Christ.
Amen.
